How shall they know unless we go?

"But who will go?" Our Lord has asked,

"Who will let my people know?"

"Here I am, send me Lord.

I'm willing to go wherever you  say.

I'll go to the jungle, the mountains, the coast,

Just show me your will and your way.

I'll show your mercy to whomever I see.

I'm willing to teach them of your love.

Send me to people who don't know you.

Send me to them who don't know Heaven above.

Your will I want to follow Lord,

Your grace I want to share.

So help me Lord to go to them,

To show the world you care."

Quotes and Such :)

So this isn't a poem like the rest of my posts have been. This is just a few things I've heard people say (mainly at church) or quotes I've found since I've been at college.

"You're not a failure because you fall, you're a failure because you don't get back up."

"We aren't big enough or old enough to do it on our own, our power comes for Jesus."

"41.3% of people groups don't have the gospel (meaning they've never heard)."
"We talk of the second coming of Christ but half of the world has never heard of the first."
-->This shocked me and made me remember why I want to be involved in missions :)

"The average causal follower of Christ will spend more money on a cable bill in a year than they do on Faith Promise."

"Stay right with God, your spouse, and the bank, and everything else will be fine."

"One meal won't cut it, God is waiting to give us all we can eat. The word of God is a buffet that never ends, it'll always give us something."

-->Don't remember where I heard this but it's talking about putting things before God and if we can't give something up to spend more time with God then it is a god in itself.

All of these really stood out to me and made me think. :)

A New Day

A New Day

 

Sometimes it's like, "Let's just start this day over,

I need a change, my life needs a makeover."

So we go to man, we look to material things,

but eventually we see that no happiness they bring.

The truth is that only God can make you new,

Only He can set you free, only His love will do.

The Bible says He makes you into a new man,

Just put your trust in him, anyone can.

He gives us strength to keep going and faith to carry on.

He brings us through things that we couldn't have done.

There is hope in Him and promise of a new day.

He'll raise us up and put us on the straight and narrow way.

He was tortured and He died on a cruel cross,

But He rose again, it was a gain not a loss.

He gave us a chance, he gives us a clean slate.

He'll bring you out of the ashes and into a brighter state.

In Him we can find new life and a new way

And the will to keep going even on a bad day.

He'll give us power to stand and power to fight,

To live for him and to stand for what's right.

Without Him we can't find a new day,

Without Him we'll go the Devil's way.

So trust in the Lord and in His might,

And He'll give you strength both day and night.

Your Plan

Your Plan

The magnificence of you, Lord my God,

To know what my life will one day be,

To shape my every choice and move,

To be where you want me to be.

Omniscient Lord, only you know why,

Through every trial and battle I face,

A purpose that I know not of,

To get me into your will, your perfect place.

Your plan, my Lord, is perfectly brilliant;

Each trial is made to strengthen me,

To shape me into the person you want

To be the young lady you want to see.

Someday I'll be in that beautiful city

With streets of bright shining gold.

I'll be where my God sits on His throne

With His glory shining so bold.

I'll be in that place with my God

Whose grace saved my poor wicked soul,

With the Son of man, the King of kings

Whose gracious death paid my toll.

I'll be near those beautiful mansions

That my loving Savior built for me,

Near gates of pearl and walls of jasper,

Beyond that beautiful crystal sea.

I'll be in that city where there is no sorrow,

No crying, no sadness, no pain,

Where I'll rejoice with my Savior forever

And sing praises to His holy name.
